This book wasn’t really what I expected. With a title like ‘Instant Karma’, I thought that the karma aspect of the book would have more of an influence on the plot and the characters. The entire karma aspect seemed to take a backseat while we experience what could only be described as a ‘contemporary romance’ play out. It’s written really well, as all of Marissa Meyer’s books are (if you haven’t read The Lunar Chronicles, I HIGHLY recommend!!). The characters are well developed, the story is constantly moving, and it’s just a good book in general. I recommend reading this with less of a focus on the karma aspect and more of a focus on the contemporary setting. I believe then you can get the full, enjoyable experience this novel has to offer.
