MENTAL HEALTH
As I mentioned last time, I’m finding some things a little rough at the moment. Or at least, I was. I don’t really know what’s changed, if I’m going to be honest, but there’s a spark in me that I haven’t felt in a long while. There’s a sense of happiness lurking just beyond my fingertips and my goodness am I trying my hardest to reach for it. I can’t put my finger on what has made me feel this way, especially since it doens’t feel like that much has changed, but I’m over the moon that there’s been a shift.
HEALTHY EATING & FITNESS
I’d love to say that there’s been an improvement here. I’d love to say that I’ve only been eating healthy things and that I’ve maintained a five-day-a-week workout regime. That’s not really the truth. I’ve barely done my daily walks, and I did a workout routine once, one night. And let’s not even talk about the shit food I’ve been eating.
THIS WEEKS EVENTS
Lockdown has come and gone. We’re still living in a mask-mandatory world, which is fine. Definitely nothing to complain about when you take a look at other cities and countries. The fact that I only have to wear a mask but can still have all the freedom from before, that’s nothing to lift my nose at. Fingers crossed that QLD can keep up with the zero cases and we can return to our mask-free bubble. I do not envy Sydney and Melbourne. Yikes.
I (unfortunately) didn’t get the job from the dream-job interview. I was THIS close though. So I’m taking that as a win. I may not have landed the job, but the interviewers were impressed and are going to keep me on file. So in a way, it’s bittersweet news.
There’s not much else to note. My cat, Gingy, has conjunctivitis – which we’re dealing with. I bought too many books – they’ll be in my July Haul. Not this one that’s just been but the one that’s coming. Everything else is same old.
