It’s that time of the week again! Where I scour the internet for a bookish tag no one tagged me in! 😀 This week, since here in Australia is getting a little chilly, I decided to choose the Winter Wonderland Book Tag! I just figured there’s nothing better than accepting that the cold is upon us, and rugging up in a pile of thick blankets and fluffy socks. So let’s get into the tag!
ONE: What book is so happy and sweet that it warms your heart?
A book that I cherish, and I know that I will forever cherish is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It’s a book that pulled me out of a two year reading slump. It’s the book that warmed my heart, made me laugh and made me cry. It’s the book I highly recommend to anyone and everyone I can. It’s just incredible!
TWO: What’s your favourite book with a white cover?
Now, don’t give me a hard one. *wipes brow*
I’m just kidding, of course it’s Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. All I do is rave on and on about this monster of a series. I love it so, so much. Please give it a go!
THREE: You’re sitting in a nice, comfy chair with a cup of hot chocolate. What monster book are you reading?
I’d want to smash out a book I’ve yet to read. One that’s been itchy at my side for a little bit that I’m absolutely dying to get my grubby little hands on. Of course that book would be The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. I need this badboy in my hands, like, now!
FOUR: Its snowing outside and you decide you want to have a snowball fight. What fictional character do you want to have this snowball fight with?
Okay, it says one, but I was more than one. I want to have a snowball fight with the ACOMAF boys. If you’ve read the book, you’ll know why! Wouldn’t it be just fabulous?
FIVE: Sadly, your campfire is dying. What last few chapters of a book would you throw in the fire to revive it and keep yourself warm?
Like I say every time one of these questions come up, I’m not listing a book I’d chuck into the fire. I’m not sharing a book I hate or think is awful, you want to know why? Because I’m not here to slander books, I’m here to give my honest opinion. I’ll say I dislike a book once, but I won’t say it over and over again, so I’m sorry. But, I guess I’m going to freeze to death.
SIX: What book do you love so much that you would buy another copy of it to give to someone as a Christmas gift (or any gift really) to inspire them to start reading?
I’m going to list three, and you can’t stop me.
It Sounded Better in my Head by Nina Kenwood. It’s a contemporary coming out in August, and I HIGHLY recommend getting your hands on a copy.
The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee. I’ve spoken about this one mulitple times, but it’s just soooo good! It’s an amazing LGBT historical fiction novel.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Nothing like a classic!
SEVEN: Who do you tag?
