The Social Media Book Tag (Tiggity Tag Friday)

Welcome! I’m here with another tag. I’ve been doing these badboys for a little while now and there’s nothing more fun than trying my best not to repeat my answers every single time. How I play these games is simple. I’ll tag the creator (thanks faultydevies for creating this badboy) and proceed to ignore the rest of the rules.

Let’s hop to it!

Twitter: Your favourite shortest book.

Oh! Easy! I LOOOVE Almost Midnight by Rainbow Rowell. I’ve been considering reading it again, it’d only take me half an hour and would be soooo worth it! If you haven’t read it, it’s super cute and sweet and you should read it. Everything Rainbow writes is incredible.

Facebook: A book everyone pressured you to read.

Fun fact that might make everyone hate me, I didn’t read Harry Potter until after high school. Because of that, I don’t think I have the same appreciation for the series as everyone else does. I do enjoy the concept and the characters. Everyone’s incredible in that aspect, but, I’m just not the biggest fan of J.K Rowling’s writing style. Does that make me a bad reader? 😓

Tumblr: A book you read before it was cool.

Picked this badboy out in the same year it was published. I’m pretty glad I did too, it’s now one of my all-time favourite books. I don’t know what I’d do without Throne of Glass. What would I obsess over if I didn’t have SJM?

MySpace: A book you don’t remember whether you liked it or not.

I read Allegiant when everyone was talking about it and jumping up and down about the book in general. I remember gathering an idea on what this book was going to be like before I started reading it and I hate that I did that. Now, I’m certain that my opinion would most definitely be different if I had just ignored the other opinions and just read it. I do plan to do a reread to fix this situation.

Instagram: A book that’s so beautiful you HAD to Instagram it.

I’m going to cheat and say a book that I think is really beautiful but can’t get my grubby hands on to because it isn’t out yet. The book I choose for that is Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman’s Aurora Rising. It’s so beautiful, have you seen it?! Rainbows are my thing and DAMN, it’s got that holo!

YouTube: A book you wish could be turned into a movie.

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue would be a hilarious and very, very watchable movie. If they did it right, golly gosh! It would be a movie to see.

Goodreads: A book you recommend to everyone.

I don’t have a go-to book that I recommend to everyone. I usually will take into consideration what they’ve already read/what I know they like and come up with a title that’s similar. So I guess I don’t have a proper answer for this one.

Skype: A book you wish you could talk to instead of reading.

I got nothing. There’s some characters that would be pretty cool to talk to like, Celaena or Rhysand or Jace but there isn’t a specific book I’d like to talk to.
