Let’s Wrap It Up! (October 2018)

But that’s not what I’m referring to. It’s wrap up time. Ready to hear the fun things I’ve read? The opinions I’m going to vomit?! Well buckle up.

On your mark. Get set. GO.

Green - Looking for Alaska

Looking for Alaska by John Green
This was a second stab at Looking for Alaska, having not previously enjoyed it. I previously stopped at the halfway mark and recently decided to try again. I didn’t hate it. For the right audience, it’s a stellar novel. It just isn’t the book for me.

Lee - The Lady's Guide

The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee

A wonderful novel with only a few hitches. I wish it was a little more funny. I wish there was a little more Monty. Small things to complain about really. The first novel, The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue is more my speed, with it’s humour and absolute adorableness. Eeep! Definitely in need for a reread!

Albertalli & Silvera - What If It's Us (Aus)

What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera

SO. FREAKING ADORABLE. I love this book so much. It’s cute and sweet with some super fun elements. The meet cute is perfect and the characters I just want to hug to death! There were a few hitches, but nothing I can go in depth about here. Looooove it!

Maas - Kingdom of Ash

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

This evoked so many feelings from me. I can’t believe that this series is over! I know I can relive the journey again in a massive reread, but it won’t be the same. The anticipation, the curiosity, the dread. It’s something you can only experience the first time. This is still my favourite series and I will forever love it. It’s just so sad for it to come to an end. An exceptional conclusion!!
